Oriental Shrimp Appetizers

1/2 pound raw shrimp
1 can (1 pound) Chun King Chinese Vegetables, well drained.
1/4 cup green onion, minced
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 whole egg
1/4 tsp. powdered ginger
20 slices day-old bread
Salt

Grind the shrimp, using finest blade on food chopper or whirl in blender until smooth. Chop vegetables very fine. Combine shrimp and vegetables, onion, soy sauce, egg and ginger. Trim crusts off bread, cut in 1 1/2 inch squares. Spread about 1 1/2 tsp. on each square. Sprinkle with salt. Fry in 2 inches of hot oil (375 degrees) for 1 minute until golden. (Put sandwiches in pan filling side up). Turn over, cook 15 seconds more. Drain on paper towel. Serve hot.
Yield: 80 appetizers
