Lest We Forget

This site dedicated to my late father-in-law.
May he rest in peace with the Father
and
My Uncle Tom who fought and even now fights to
forget what he has seen and heard.

(My Uncle Tom passed away on October 29th, 1999.
His tales of horror have gone with him. May he now rest in peace.
I just pray he found the One who loves him more
than anyone else in this world before he left us.)

We HAVE to remember those who gave their lives
so we can live in peace and without fear and persecution.
We MUST remember why they died.

"Greater love has no one than this,
that he lay down his life for his friends."
- John 15:13 NIV

In Flander's Field

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
