Holiday Pralines

1 c brown sugar
1 c white sugar
1 c light cream
1/8 tsp salt
3 Tbsp butter
1 c chopped pecans
1 Tbsp maple syrup

Bring first 3 ingredients to a full boil for 1 minute. Add remaining ingredients and cook to soft-ball stage (234º on a candy thermometer). Quickly stir and drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper. Cool.
