Eggnog Cherry Nut Loaf

2 1/2 c flour
3/4 c sugar
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 beaten egg
1 1/4 c eggnog
1/3 c cooking oil
1/2 c chopped walnuts or pecans
1/2 c chopped maraschino cherries

Heat oven to 350º F. Grease 2 8x4x2" loaf pans. In mixing bowl stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix egg, eggnog, and oil. Stir into dry ingredients, mixing well. Fold in nuts and cherries. Turn into loaf pans. Bake at 350º for 45-50 minutes or until done. Cool in pans 10 minutes. Remove from pans; cool on racks. Makes 2 loaves.
