Macadamia Snaps

2 c flour
1/4 c margarine, softened
3/4 c sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
3 1/2 oz jar macadamia nuts

Preheat oven to 350º F.
Into large bowl, measure flour, margarine sugar, vanilla, and salt. With hand, mix ingredients until well-blended. Chop macadamia nuts; place on waxed paper. Roll level tablespoons of dough into balls; press one side of each ball into chopped macadamia nuts. Place flattened balls, nut side up, on ungreased large cookie sheet, about 2" apart. Bake cookies about 15 minutes or until lightly browned; remove to wire racks to cool. Store in tightly covered container.
Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
