1 Corinthians 13
Charity is another word for love.
Love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast. It is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not-self-seeking,
it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.
Greater love has no one than this,
than to lay down one's life for a friend. John 15:13
Jesus loved you so much, he was willing to lay down His life for you so you could have eternal life. Is that great love or what??
For God so loved the world (this means you too) that He gave His only begotten Son
(this means Jesus), that whoever believes in Him (surrendering your heart and life to Him) should not perish (eternal separation from God or hell) but have everlasting life. (eternal life with Christ or heaven) John 3:16
