Lime Cheesecake Squares

CRUST:
3/4 c Robin Hood flour
1/4 c packed brown sugar
1/4 c ground almonds
1/4 c Imperial margarine
FILLING:
250 g pkg cream cheese, softened
1/2 c sugar
1 egg
4 tsp lime juice
2 tsp grated lime rind

CRUST: Combine flour, sugar and almonds in mixing bowl. Cut in margarine until mixture is crumbly. Press firmly in 8" square cake pan. Bake at 350º for 15 minutes.

FILLING: Beat all ingredients together in small bowl at medium speed of electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Spread evenly over baked crust. Bake at 350º for 12-15 minutes, or until set. Cool on wire rack. Chill before cutting into small squares.

Helpful Hint: Decorate top with a small piece of lime, halved small strawberry, or maraschino cherry.
Makes about 36 squares.
